Travel Diary: Joshua Tree
I never mind the heat in Joshua Tree. It's dry, silent, and comfortably surreal. Everything from the hypnagogic sunsets and starkly vibrant plant matter, to the wash of beige that spreads for miles is so incredibly peaceful.
We spent a lot of our time doing nothing, which surprisingly, takes practice. But in a place like this, it comes a little more naturally, and a little more quickly. My Joshua Tree to do list is on the short side, but one thing I do suggest if you come to Joshua Tree, is to just sit and enjoy the view. It's just as beautiful by day as it is by night, when the stars come out. We even heard coyotes the night of a full moon. Magic.
