BELL SLEEVE

Well the heat sure snuck up on the west coast, didn't it now? Ok, sneak up is a bit of an exaggeration, considering we've been basking in summer weather for the last few weeks. One thing I'll say about buying a home - it takes a while to get to know the lay of the land. And by lay of the land in this situation, I mean our air conditioning, which we have not totally figured out. I have, on the other hand, come up with a pretty efficient window opening system that seems to be getting us by for now.

Until we figure it out, I've been keeping cool in light dresses with slightly looser knits and short hems, which surprisingly, can be cooler than anything else in my wardrobe. Bonus - wearing a dress like this take no to minimal effort. Always a plus when you've got a million other things in life to figure out, other than getting dressed in the morning...
