#MisfitPreferred: Brandless Greatest Hits
THE BACKSTORY: We gave Brandless a try a couple years ago and fell in love with the concept of not having to pay marked up prices for labels that don’t necessarily offer quality to match those prices. Not to mention, we also loved the sustainability factor that comes along in some shape or form, with each product. Up until now, we’d given mostly the kitchen tools and pet goods a try - so the ‘Greatest Hits’ bundle was a great way of sampling the range of products Brandless offers without having to decipher which ones to try or having to pay full price for all of them individually.
WHAT IT IS: Launched just in 2017, Brandless changes the way we look at our home. From Organic to fair trade to gluten free and tree-free, Brandless offers non toxic and sustainable products for every aspect of our lives from cleaning products and kitchen tools to personal grooming, pets, and nutrition - at a more affordable price than a more ‘branded’ brand.
WHY WE LOVE IT: It is an active practice at Thoughtful Misfit to go behind brand names to try to get to the root of what makes a product valuable. Brandless is essentially doing the same with their goods, providing easy alternatives for those want to be a little more ethical in their shopping choices while still being assured they’re getting a great price and good quality. We love the work Brandless puts in so that you don’t have to scour the web for a better alternative. Also, it keeps you off Amazon for at least a few purchases…
THOUGHTFUL MISFIT TIP: While Brandless items in general are pretty great, we love the Greatest Hits bundle for getting a good lay of the land for what Brandless has to offer. From cleaning supplies to essential oils to some surprisingly excellent skincare, it’s a great way to test out alternative, better options to see which ones you want to work into your daily life. Definitely try it for yourself but FYI some of our editor’s favorite items are the deodorants, multi-surface cleaner, mesh market bag, hand cream, laundry packs, and coconut oil. They’re absolutely fantastic.
A Thoughtful Misfit is a woman who doesn't fit in boxes - from how she dresses, to the way she lives, to the way she chooses to mother and to love…
