DRESSING FOR THE HOLIDAZE

Welp it's that time of year again - you know, the time of year where you're not totally sure what day it is, what holiday is next, and whether or not to count that 5 hour long graze-fest as breakfast lunch and dinner. In other words, holidaze. And it's actually my favorite time of year. And not just because it means I can rock a glitzy dress and something similar to a sleeping bag and be totally on-trend, either.

For someone who craves routine and makes work a huge priority, this is the time of year where I get to relax a little. Where I don't feel guilty if I spend more time socializing with close friends than working, where family dinners take hours and involve plenty of storytelling, where focusing on self-care comes a little more naturally and effortlessly, and where laughing till you almost pee your pants becomes a daily habit.

It's also time to reflect. It's time to think ahead and listen to what I really want for the next year - which is different than setting goals. And at the risk of sounding partially insane, it's the time of year where I have the best conversations with myself (quietly, that is - not out loud in public. Don't worry guys, I haven't totally lost it).

How was your holiday weekend, and how will you be spending the next month?

xx,

Tienlyn
