EL NIÑO
It's a total trip being in the desert in the middle of a big rainstorm. In my mind, the two just don't go together, which is what makes it so special. Just after shooting this last week, we suddenly found ourselves driving through sheets of rain and flooded roads. At first, it was pretty exciting. We curled up at Cactus Mountain with hot cocoa and watched the storm from our newly redone windows (we're getting so close to being done!).
But then, we headed over to our new geodesic home, the Buckminster House, to find a roof leak that made me wish the rain would just go away. Luckily for us, it did - and we were able to patch the roof before any more damage was done. But let me just say that it gave us a bit of a rough start to the year - for which I am blaming Mercury Retrograde. ;)
Weather drama aside, we've been having so much fun working on Cactus Mountain and I'm really looking forward to showing you more of our progress soon, plus a little design inspo on what we want to do with the Buckminster House! Stay tuned...
xx,
Tienlyn
