GLAMPING IN IDYLLWILD
With so many amazing spots within just hours of us, Nikko and I have made a point to take plenty of mini getaways in between our workload and renovations. At the top of our list has been Idyllwild - a breathtakingly magical mountain town nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains. And while I love a good rustic getaway, I'm not quite the type to embrace full-on camping. Luckily for me this was hardly an issue. In fact, after checking into Idyllcottage, we barely left! From the fully stocked kitchen, to the comfy beds, to roaring fire, to the tons of little romantic nooks, the interior of this charming spot made it nearly impossible to leave.
From slow mornings with strong coffee, to daytime walks into town (it's nestled in the Historic Idyllwild District and about a 5 minute walk into town), to evenings spend soaking underneath the stars in the hot tub (set on the patio just behind a row of trees that make you feel like your in your own private world) , with life music drifting over from Café Aroma across the street, it made for the most perfect little getaway. There really was something super special about Idyllcottage - it was so peaceful and cozy, and provided the perfect reset before we jumped back into our many projects. There really was something so special about this cabin -
With so many stunning natural locations in California, Nikko and I have made it a goal to visit as many as possible, and we've started using Glamping Hub as one of our main sources for planning future trips. In just California alone, there are so many fun, unique ways to glamp - from yurts to A-frames, and everything in between (and all of them meet my comfort level of camping btw). Plus, since they have such a huge range of pet-friendly spots (and they make it super easy to filter accordingly - in fact, they've got a whole section dedicated to pets), we can bring Mao everywhere with us!
I'm already thinking Big Bear or Lake Arrowhead for Fall, but this A-frame is definitely beckoning me back to Idyllwild...
