Interior Hacks For The DIY Impaired

You know how a new haircut can make you feel like a totally new person? Doing a mini makeover on your interior abode can have the same effect on your perspective and mood - and as a bonus, the upkeep is way easier.

And while we’d all love to have Adler or Wearstler on speed dial for a decor overhaul, all you really need are a few simple DIY tweaks to your home to make all the difference.

While we love the idea of a good DIY in theory over here, we have also been known to be the type to get kind of bored if a DIY project takes too long or has too many steps. So in that spirit, below are three easy DIY interior hacks for even the most impatient, DIY adverse, that you could get done (and we mean all three) in a single weekend. And even better, they’re all super affordable and require very few tools.

Keep on reading and see what homemade accessories you can make yourself for an interior spring pick-me-up.

Something framed

While having something framed doesn’t feel like you’re totally mind blowing, it’s shocking what the right wall art can do for a space. Going for a quality frame will make everything else around it look more expensive, and can turn anything it frames into a work of art. When it comes to what to frame, think outside of the box (yes, pun intended) for a super unique piece that has your own personal touch. Something sentimental, like a leaf from your college hometown, a puzzle you put together with a loved one, or a print of your child’s heartbeat, or even meaningful text, can create a focal point that not only will draw your interior together in a cohesive manner, but will also be a great conversation starter. Another idea is, if you follow this link, https://setapp.com/how-to/extract-text-from-images, you'll find out how you can copy that text from an image and have it printed on some really thick card. If you're good at drawing or painting, you could paint around it on the card and then frame it.

Sand it down

Now to go for a complete change that takes a piece of furniture from old to new. You will no doubt have old accessoriez that have seen better days and need a bit of a touch up. A coffee table is a prime example of one because of how easy they are to stain or chip. Sand it down to take all of the old paint off, paint over it with a new coat and even color, and then gloss to finish. You could be extra lazy and skip all of that and just spray paint the table!

Wall Art

Wall art is great if you're looking for a way of filling that space in a spare room, or perhaps a laundry room if you have one. The laundry room will probably be the best bet. Some sort of funny quote about the washing and drying can look really good. Some would argue that in any other room of the home it would look a little bit tacky.
