LUNAR NEW YEAR AT THE GREAT MALL
I've said this a few times already, but the Lunar New Year is actually my favorite holiday of the entire year. Sure, it's partly because I'm half Chinese and I'm a big lover of tradition. But it's also because to me, it's the real start to the New Year. Around the time the Lunar New Year pops up, we've all messed up on our resolutions, have hopefully re-calibrated, and are ready to try again. And there's something really optimistic about that - optimistic enough to celebrate, even!!
I spend a lot of time at the Great Mall Milpitas. I was there for the craziest shoe sale I've ever seen in my life (Manolos and Jimmy Choos anyone?), I was there for their Back-to-School event, and I was all OVER their Black Friday. And if Modernism Week didn't overlap with the Lunar New Year, you can bet your britches I'd be there for that too. They really just have a way of making every occasion a little extra special.
This year (this Saturday Feb 16th to be exact), the Great Mall is ringing in the Year of the Dog with a TON of events from 10 am to 3 pm. Not only can you expect to save up to 70% throughout the entire weekend, but there are a ton of reasons just to go to just enjoy the holiday as well!
