PANELED PROPORTIONS

It's Friday morning and I my coffee hasn't kicked in yet. I fell asleep last night before finishing this post, so here I am at the crack of dawn, trying to make something comprehensible of my writing.

The first time I saw my beloved pink trousers from Elena Reva I thought, I love these, but I'll rarely wear them! After all, how often does one's regular wardrobe rotation really require voluminous  pair of pale pink trousers? Turns out, the answer is all the time.

It's funny how often a risk piece can wind up an absolute staple. It's happened countless times to me, and for some reason, these pants go with everything -from a bikini top, to a long paneled tunic, and all the options in between. Turns out, wide leg trousers are easier to wear than just about anything else. And while my skinny jean collection remains well-stocked, they're getting less and less game time these days.

Also on my overwear rotation: anything Rachel Comey. I'm warning you now that I went on a little binge. Not only do I love the raw, unapologetic ease of her pieces and the adventurous elegance that makes them ever so wearable, but I also love that her woven pieces are created smack dab in the middle of New York. Don't you love it when an amazing brand does basically everything right?

I'm excited for this weekend, as we have friends coming in town. It should provide a nice reprieve from the 'must hustle ever minute' mentality that has ruled this entire week. But for the next few days at least, I'm just plan on enjoying to gorgeous weather and good company.

Hope you all have an amazing Memorial Day Weekend!

xx,

Tienlyn
