SKYSCRAPER
As much as I love Joshua Tree and Southern California, I always get a burst of energy when we go back north to the Bay Area and San Francisco. It's a mix of nostalgia for all my favorite haunting spots (Café de la Presse, three meals a day please) and an excitement to see some of my favorite people in the world. Not to mention that (despite the ongoing construction - when will it END?) I still think the downtown is the prettiest downtown of any city I've ever been to in North America.
I'm excited to go back in a few weeks, especially now that the tree and skating rink will be up in Union Square. There's something about the familiarity of traditions that makes this time of year so truly special.
