STAYCATION: TIBURON
Last week, we had the chance to take a little overnighter to Tiburon to stay at the Waters Edge Hotel - so naturally I jumped at the chance. It's one of those places that is a total hidden gem. While it's only a few exits over the Golden Gate Bridge, it feels like an entirely different world.
We spent our time taking in the shops on Main Street and Ark Row (there are some really good little boutiques btw - should have brought another bag just for shopping), enjoying waterside espressos and calamari done to perfection at Luna Blu, lunch and drinks at Tiburon Tavern, and taking advantage of our insanely romantic location and hotel by cuddling up on the deck fire to soak up a breathtaking view of the bay, bridge, and SF city skyline followed by breakfast in bed the next morning.
Nikko and I both packed light - the last thing I want to do when I'm going on a quick trip is to lug around a huge bag - so I stuck to mostly neutral colors and classic basics. The more little trips we take, the better I hone in on what I really need to take with me and what I can leave behind. This is something of a miracle considering that I by nature, I am definitely a serial packer. This week, I have another chance to flex my newly honed packing skills, as we're headed for one of my favorite neighborhoods in SF for yet another staycation at one of my favorite little secret spots in the city! Can't wait to share more...
xx,
Tienlyn
