SUMMER WAVES HAIR TUTORIAL WITH NUME

I haven’t done a lot of hair tutorials, and for a few reasons. First of all, I don’t really experiment with my hair that much. When I find something that works, I generally tend to stick to it. Secondly, I’m pretty low maintenance so unless I find a hairstyle that I don’t have to work too hard at, it’s pretty much just not going to happen.

That’s what got me really excited about this NuMe Pentacle wand. Not only could I find a way to switch up my look for summer, but it;s a style that literally lasts for days - a HUGE feat considering my hair usually refuses to look good two days in a row.

Oh and P.S. right now you can take $100 off any styling set from Pentacle (excluding the season catalog) plus get a free Argan Oil with the CODE: LOVETIENLYN

So here’s my first hair tutorial for carefree summer waves:

A quick side note about the Pentacle - you can actually use it two ways. You can lock it closed like this for a really large barrel wand, which creates very subtle large curls (I like to use it to give my hair a mostly straight look with a little ex…

I added about a dime size of Argan Oil, concentrating on the ends. If you have thicker or longer hair, you might want to add a tiny bit more.

Step 1: Pin half of your hair up so you can start with your bottom half.

If you are worried about burning yourself, you can use the protective glove that comes with the Pentacle). Press down and hold it for approximately a count of three. Note: I have fine hair and set the heat at about 350 degrees. If you have thicker hair, you might want to set it a little higher, but play around with it to see what works for you.

Step 3: Move the Pentacle down the section of your hair - make sure to start the next bit by lining up the top of the barrel with the bottom of the last waved bit that you just did. Work your way down to the end and repeat around your head in 1 inch…

Step 4: Take down the top half of your hair and start the process again at the front.

Note: I like start right at the cheekbone and no higher. This is a personal preference, but I have found that it’s a little more manageable if I do it like this.

Step 5: Once you are done run your fingers through your hair to loosen the waves.

This style looks great with a side part, or half up half down, but my favorite thing about it is that you can just let it run wild and it looks totally effortless and super sexy. Perfect for the summer!
