THE CHOLLA GARDEN
Going to the cholla garden is not something you generally decide to do while wearing heels, approximately 35 minutes before dark, with a quarter tank of gas. So of course, that's what we did. A 20 minute drive into the park later, coasting as much as we could on the downhill parts, we hopped out of the car and sprinted as best we could (me in heels, avoiding the cholla like crazy after my last fiasco) in order to snap a few photos before it got too dark to see our own hands.
That's actually what I really like about these photos - you can see the progression of the sun setting, ending in what might be some of my fave shots ever. And when the night skies are the way they are in Joshua Tree, you can't help but want to capture every moment.
A quick shoutout to my brand new Everlane pants for being basically the best thing ever, and also totally wrinkle free, even after a long day and a lot of car time. You rule, and I love you.
xx,
Tienlyn
