The second place we stayed in Nicaragua is easily one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. There's nothing like waking up, perched up high, to a breathtaking view of the ocean, broken only by a smattering of jungle flora, only to wander over to one of several hammocks to take it all in before a dip in our infinity pool. And this all before breakfast.

Villas Playa Maderas is like its own little world. Every inch is breathtaking and the staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. Nikko and I have even talked about possibly having our 10 year anniversary party here in a few years. But I'm not sure I can wait that long to go back...
