WOKE UP IN FLORENCE
Where to start? The last few days have been pretty dreamy, to say the least, with Italy quickly becoming one of my favorite places in the world.
Not only has it been an incredibly smooth trip, but upon arriving in Florence by train from Milan, I got discovered that my one of my heroes, video artist Bill Viola (who was the reason why I began producing video art all through college and a few years after school - and hope to return to in the near future), currently has a fabulous exhibition only a block from our place.
I'd love to write more now, but thanks to a dinner that started at 9 pm and went till 4 am, I'm a little short on time. One of those, hurry up and take it easy type of situations. The one thing I've said the most since we've gotten here is, 'I could live here,' which is something I've started to seriously fantasize about.
How amazing would it be to spend a few months here? Perhaps once the Geodome and The Buckminster House are up and ready.... after all, my biggest adventures and biggest successes have all started with a seemingly impossible dream...
xx,
Tienlyn
